Andrew and Agata are some of the most genuine, real, and friendly people I’ve ever met. They met in Georgia a few years back and are now tying the knot.

We decided to capture their engagement portraits at Black Balsam Knob. We drove miles up the mountain, twisting and turning as the road curved around each bend of the mountain’s curves. We drove past hundreds of trees, streams, and happy families enjoying their Saturday in the mountains. As we exited Pisgah National Forest, we got on the Blue Ridge Parkway and there it was…Road Closed. We were 1.1 miles away from Black Balsam and the Road was blocked off.

We had the choice to hike 1.1 miles or find another spot. It was extremely sunny and much warmer than we anticipated. With not a single cloud in the sky, we did what we could to find some shade. In the end, we decided to go to Glen Cannon Golf Course, just around the corner from Andrew’s home. It was extremely sunny and much warmer than we anticipated. With not a single cloud in the sky, we did what we could to find some shade. As we were making our way to our destination, I was absolutely distracted by the beauty of the mountains. Especially, when I saw two large waterfalls; one was only moments away from our destination…so needless to say, we made our way there.

Andrew even carried the bench from one location to the next and it absolutely added a hint of beauty to the portraits Agata wanted at her flower bush. These two are so in love and happy with each other. They’re real with each other. Funny with each other. Relaxed with each other.  cannot wait to capture their wedding day in September at the Robinhood Barn in Sherwood Forest.
