“Meeting you was fate, becoming your friend was a choice, but falling in love with you was beyond my control.”

Totally engaged and excited to officially tie the knot with their furry four-legged children. Scott and Sarah’s engagement is more than just the ring. For them, it’s their commitment to each other. They have a list of shared passions, a joint love for their pups, and the endless joy that they share when they are together. Scott makes Sarah smile so naturally that her face constantly has a grin. Their dog loves her, and he cuddles with his mommy and moans as he tells her about his busy day running around in the creek with them. What a happy little family getting ready to embark on this exciting journey.

This engagement session was full of life and laughter and I absolutely loved every moment of it. Although we initially planned to go to Asheville for their portraits, I believe that the rainy weekend was a blessing in the end. Initially, we tried a field…that was all mowed down and muddy, so that was a definite bummer. Then, we tried a different field a few miles down the road. Our first thirty-minutes, or so, had some light sprinkles, so our hopes were getting thin with the weather. But, when it stopped, it stopped and that summer heat kicked in. Sarah’s favorite spot down by the creek has the perfect combination of shade and sunshine. So in the end, capturing these images in a spot that Sarah has loved was the way to go; no doubt about it.
